New York Writers Meet-up: Aug. 9 at Amity Hall, New York City

We’re sticking with an East Coast theme as the next Bleacher Report Writers Meet-up is set for Amity Hall in New York City on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.

Our last two meet-ups were in Philadelphia and Boston, and both were big successes. We’re going for an Eastern Time hat trick before we head south for meet-ups in Dallas and Miami in the next few months.

Since Bleacher Report has an office in New York, this will be a great chance for you to meet and talk with some of the people who grind away behind the scenes, as well as a few of our video stars. I’m hoping to announce a couple of surprise guests in the weeks leading up to the meet-up. If you’re an approved writer, you’re invited.

Of course we’ll also have the usual array of Bleacher Report merchandise to give away, and we’re buying the food and drink. Here are a few comments about Amity Hall from recent Yelp reviewers:

“The beer list kicks butt … I spent a good 5 or so hours here at Amity Hall with a good 30 or so people and had not one complaint. I would absolutely recommend AH for a group gathering.”

But for all of that, the main event is the chance to meet and talk with other Bleacher Report writers, people doing the same thing you’re doing, and likely with the same goal of making a career out of it.

Amity Hall is at 80 West Third Street in Greenwich Village. The meet-up will be Thursday, Aug. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. We ask that you RSVP so we’ll be sure to have enough food. You can do that in the comments or by dropping me an email.
