Bleacher Report teams with Hearst Newspapers to launch Local Editions

Greetings creatures. It’s another big day at B/R headquarters. Today we are proud to announce that we have partnered with Hearst Newspapers to launch Local Editions of Bleacher Report with four of Hearst’s largest news sites: SFGate.com, SeattlePI.com, MySanAntonio.com and Chron.com.

So what’s that mean for you? Well, if you’re a fan living in the Bay Area with something worthwhile to say, your articles may be featured on the Local Edition of SFGate.com in addition to the main page at B/R  (and don’t forget about CBS Sports and all our other syndication partners).

Of course, all this content is in addition to the great stuff that each of Hearst’s sports departments are already producing. Our Local Editions will serve as a hub for fans in these cities to add to the sports conversation already taking place. And for the Hearst Newspapers sports departments, well, it’s a great way to reach out and engage their community as well as provide for their readers a number of  new complementary viewpoints and opinions on the stories their own writers are covering every day.

So if you live in any of these areas, or if you happen to be a displaced Mariners fan, get your stuff out there. Thanks to all of you, we’ve managed to grow into a national sports network, providing a unique brand of fun, engaging content you won’t see anywhere else. Today, we’re proud to bring this home to a local level with Hearst. Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
