Shoutout: How Derrick Rose’s Bulls are like LeBron James’ Cavaliers
Nate Hamme, a featured columnist on the Washington Wizards beat, considers whether Derrick Rose’s Bulls are like LeBron James’ Cavaliers. It’s a good read.
Hamme notes the many parallels in the first few years of the two stars’ careers, and wonders if today’s Bulls are going to be stymied by stronger teams in the East the way James’ Cavs were. It’s even been rumored that Rose might try to team up with two of his buddies, Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook, in pursuit of a championship. A familiar tale.
James has learned, and Hamme speculates that Rose is learning, that “no matter how hard you work, how far you’ve come, and how many expectations you’ve exceeded, history and circumstance have a way of derailing your dreams and forcing adversity into an otherwise storybook tale.”
