Shoutout: A fun MLB draft slideshow
Featured columnist Zachary Ball, who’s been on top of the upcoming MLB amateur draft, has a slideshow of the players in that draft who are most likely to reach various milestones.
Which prospective draftee is most likely to throw a no-hitter, hit four home runs in a game, steal 60 bases, win a batting title and so on?
As Ball points out, the answer is probably none of them for most of those questions. Only 11 players have hit four home runs in a game, after all.
But it’s a lot of fun to consider the possibilities, and it’s also an interesting, creative way to talk about the various players who will become big news in a few weeks as their professional careers begin.
It’s also a great chance for readers to take a gander at some really bad high school and college baseball uniforms.
