Quote of the Day: Albert Camus makes a clear point

Those who write clearly have readers. Those who write obscurely have commentators.

Albert Camus

I think today the Nobel laureate author might say “angry commenters” instead of commentators.

  • John

    Quoting Camus. Interesting.

  • Kelly Scaletta

Well angry commenters get your point, they just don’t like it, no matter how clear it is.

    • John

That appears to be the case. Haha!

Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Just walk beside me and be my friend. – Albert Camus (1913-1960) writer and philosopher

What the f is your point?

    • John

You must have missed it. No need to be “angry”.

I WAS KIDDING. (It seemed SO obvious to me that I was. Oh, well…)

I think Oakland Raider fans are an entirely different denomination of all this. Those who write critically about the Raiders have commentators stemming from the seventh circle of hell.

  • Andrew Kulha

This is very insightful, especially for any of our writers that are feeling frustrated with negative feedback

And btw, only explaining two months later because this, apparently, is now on my Google “permanent record.”

Today’s lesson: On the Internet, never assume people will understand your intentions.
