Atlanta: Bleacher Report Writers Meet-up coming your way March 8

Turner Field, Atlanta

Alas, too early in the year to visit this place.

The Bleacher Report Writers Meet-up World Tour will make its first trip to the South next month when we get together in Atlanta.

If you’re an approved Bleacher Report writer, you’re invited to join us at the Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant in Buckhead on Thursday, March 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.

On tap—see what I did there?—will be the usual smorgasbord of food, drink and Bleacher Report merch*, all on B/R, as well as the chance to meet and network with your fellow Bleacher Report writers. NFL Lead Writer Josh Zerkle will be on hand, as will Managing Editor Tim Wood and our Writer Community team, Will Leivenberg and Dave “Sweet Mo” Morrison.

* One person responded to this invitation in the monthly writer email by writing, “You had me until the word ‘swag’ appeared in a professional message,” so I’m trying out the word “merch” to see who that drives away.

Those who have attended our previous meet-ups, in San Francisco, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, have told us they’ve enjoyed the chance to ask questions and offer suggestions to those of us representing B/R Writer HQ, not to mention getting to know other writers and walking away fed, and with a pretty hip T-shirt.

L.A. holds the unofficial record for the largest meet-up crowd. Can Atlanta beat it? And who will win the valuable* prize for traveling the farthest to attend the meet-up? So many questions. We’ll know on March 8.

* Not valuable.

RSVP in the comments or by dropping me a line, so we’ll know how much food to order. And we’ll see you there.
