USA Today: Nine must-follow journalism Twitter accounts

USA Today has offered a list of Nine Twitter accounts every journalism student should follow.

I think if you’re trying to write about real things that are happening now, you’re a “journalism student,” even if you’ve been doing it for decades. I’m a journalism student.

The nine are a mix of journalists, academics and institutions.

I could probably add 50 names to that list and maybe I will at some point. For now I’d add New York Times media critic David Carr, PBS Media Shift, which describes itself as “your guide to the digital media revolution,” and its executive editor Mark Glaser, and Sports Illustrated media columnist Richard Deitsch.

Who would you add? Hit the comments.

@BR_WriterHQ of course! Though, no offense, @Romenesko was the biggest name left off the list. Poynter w/o Romenesko just isn’t as fun anymore.

Peter King is one of my favorites. So sarcastic. It’s hilarious.
