Internship Insider: David Daniels, Ethan Norof & Neri Stein to Hall of Fame

The Bleacher Report Sportswriting Intern Program has graduated over 350 skilled writers during the past three years, but only 12 interns were selected as the inaugural class of our Hall of Fame.

These folks have executed a successful game plan for getting noticed (and paid) to be sportswriters.

Along with last week’s inductees, here are the next alumni names headed to our rafters:

- David Daniels

Now a paid writer with the B/R Breaking News team, you won’t find a topic this guy hasn’t covered. Ridiculously productive and consistent,  he’s kept the scoreboard lit up, writing over 600 articles for a whopping 4.5 million reads.

“B/R’s Internship is a PED for sportswriters. Applying for the program would definitely make my Mount Rushmore of best decisions I’ve ever made. In hindsight, I can honestly say that my dream of becoming a sports columnist after graduation would be nothing but a hopeless delusion without the Internship.” – David @TheRealDDaniels & LinkedIn

- Ethan Norof

A home-grown star, Ethan’s meteoric rise makes him our 12th ranked writer and a resident NBA sage. With nearly 900 articles and 9 million reads in just a year and a half, there’s no questioning where hard work and skill took him.

“The internship helped me get where I am today. I was able to work with phenomenally talented people who honed both my writing and editorial skills immensely. I now serve as the NBA Assistant Editor for Bleacher Report.” – Ethan @Mr_Norof

- Neri Stein

A thoroughly knowledgeable and engaging world football Featured Columnist, she was so plugged in to the nuances of online writing that we hired her back to the Internship faculty IMMEDIATELY after graduation.

“Joining the B/R Internship did wonders for me as a journalist. I learned to cover sports I never would’ve dreamed of, reached a brand new audience and honed my voice as a writer. Upon graduating the program, I joined the Internship Staff as On-Call Assignment Editor and have enjoyed every minute of it!” - Neri @neristein

The next round of names will be unveiled very soon!

I had Neri Stein as an on-call instructor during my internship tenure. She did a great job steering me in the right direction on Bleacher Report!

I was able to work with all three of these terrific young writers as interns and I work with all three (to some extent) still today. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with them and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to “take” my job after I moved on to the NFL team than Neri!

Ethan Norof is a pleasure to work with on coverage events and a great editor. He’s helped me through my early career with B/R and I wouldn’t have made such strides without his help.

Glad to see him make it! He deserves it.

I’ve only had the pleasure of briefly working with Neri, and she has not been anything but helpful and a pleasure to work with.

Haven’t had the chance to work with Ethan or David just yet, but Neri Stein was one of the first people I thought of when I heard about the Hall of Fame class being announced. She’s fantastic to work with and beyond helpful, glad to see her inducted.
