From Small-Town America to the NBA Draft: The Otto Porter Story by College Basketball National Lead Writer C.J. Moore puts us in the southeast Missouri town where Porter, member of a dynastic local basketball family, led his high school to three straight state championships.

As a Rams and Raiders fan, it pains me to say this, but How the San Francisco 49ers Became the NFL’s Team to Beat in 2013 by Dylan Desimone is an impressive, long look at how the defending NFC champions turned things around in just two years under Jim Harbaugh.

Bleacher Report invited a veteran sportswriter to write about Larry Fitzgerald, the great Arizona Cardinals wide receiver. That doesn’t sound very interesting until you hear that the sportswriter was Larry Fitzgerald Sr. His The NFL Through the Eyes of a Parent is a great read.
