Philadelphia Writers Meet-up May 24: Last call for RSVPs

The Philadelphia Writers Meet-up is a week from tomorrow, and if the RSVPs are an indication, it’s shaping up to be one of our bigger events.

There’s still time to let us know you’re coming, but not much. You can RSVP in the comments or by dropping me an email.

The details again: Thursday, May 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Fox and Hound, 1501 Spruce Street.

A few people have wondered if it’s OK to come “late,” whether they should show up even if they can’t make it by 6. Yes. Show up.

Our Writers Meet-ups are essentially cocktail parties. Show up when you can, meet and greet, eat and drink, walk out with some B/R gear and drive safely. We do usually say a few words and hold a group Q&A session around 7, but even if you can’t make it in time for that: sure, stop by.

Just out of interest, how many BR writers are based here in the UK?

I don’t think we know. There may be a way to figure it out, but I don’t think we collect information about where our writers live.

I’d love to be able to have a UK meetup.

Question: will under-21s be able to get into wherever you have future meetups? I’d like to try to make it to the next NY meetup when I’m there in the summer.

Since we don’t know where the NY meet-up will be yet, I can’t say for sure, but usually under-21s are able to attend. Even 21+ places usually make an exception for events like that.

            Brilliant!

    Definitely going to be there
