Detroit Meet-up: Last call for RSVPs; read what attendees say
Just a few more days to RSVP for the meet-up in Detroit on Dec. 6.
Detroit Bleacher Report writers will be getting together a week from Thursday at 6 p.m. at Dick O’Dow’s Irish Pub in Birmingham.
Your host will be assistant NBA editor Joel Cordes, who’ll be joined by Community Manager Andrew Kulha and Lions Featured Columnist Ty Schalter. They’ll hook you up with food, drink and plenty of B/R goodies for you to show off around the neighborhood.
Bleacher Report writers who’ve attended meet-ups in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Dallas have told us that they’ve learned a lot about B/R, feel more connected to it after meeting other writers and Bleacher Report staffers, and just plain had a good time. Here are a few sample comments following earlier meet-ups. Their authors didn’t intend them for publication so I’m not including the names:
“It was great to share ideas and bounce things around with B/R staff. Highly recommend other writers attending whenever you have a chance to attend a meeting like this in your area.” —New York“I know the events are discussed on the blog as a good time and a chance to get some free food and shirts and stuff, which is all true, but it actually turned out to be much more substantive than that. I think it gave me a bit of a renewed focus.” —Philadelphia
“Just wanted to thank you for a great time last night at Fenway. It was really great to meet everyone and to see that you guys really care enough about who is writing for you. It validates even more the reason why I’m on with you guys. It was really good.” —Boston
“Had a great time! Loved talking shop with writers I can learn from.” —Los Angeles
Don’t miss out, Detroit. RSVP in the comments or by dropping me an email.
