Next B/R writers meet-up: Chicago, Nov. 15

Chicago skyline

Chicago Bleacher Report writers, we’re coming your way.

The next “Office Hours” meet-up will be Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Timothy O’Toole’s Pub in the Near North Side. All B/R writers are welcome to join us from 6 to 9 p.m. for some food, drinks, Bleacher Report swag and good times.

You’ll get to meet me, Bleacher Report founder Dave Finocchio, Community Manager Dave Morrison and, most importantly, each other.

This will be the third Office Hours event, and I think the first two, in San Francisco and New York, have been big successes. Check out the comments on those linked blog posts about them. B/R writers seem to come away from these meet-ups having had a pretty swell time.

If you’re in the area, and by that I mean the Central Time Zone, drop in. You don’t need to RSVP to get in the door or anything, but it would really help us plan if you’d let us know you’re coming. Just drop me a line or leave a comment on this post.

  • Andrea Hangst

I’m in, 100%! Looking forward to it!

      We’ll see you there, Andrea.

  • Randy Chambers

    Miami next, please? Thanks.

    • Jeffrey Schmidt

      Miami would be great!

    • Anonymous

Miami’s definitely on our list. We kind of plan these things one at a time, and the potential next stops are the ones you’d think they are: Big cities with lots of sports teams and, therefore, probably a lot of B/R writers.

    I’ll be there!

Great, Tom. Looking forward to meeting you.

  • Louis Musto

Good luck to all those who get to go! Hope to catch one in the Northeast the next time you guys come around!

Boston, like Miami, also on our list. Also Philly, and we’ll probably return to NYC at some point.

  • Micky Shaked

    Yes, please.

    • Anonymous

If that means you’re coming, we’ll see you there.

  • chris mueller

    Im there

      Good.

  • Matt Bauer

Wish I could make it but I go to school in Lawrence, KS. Is there a schedule available for all of the meet-ups?

    • Anonymous

No, no schedule. Like I said, we’re planning these one at a time at the moment. I can’t lie, I don’t know how long it’ll be before we get much closer to you than Chicago, which I know isn’t that close.

  • Dan Bolde

Detroit please! seems like we’ve got a big crowd of us on the site

    • Anonymous

Detroit is probably on the list. Miami, Detroit, Miami, Detroit. These are hard calls to make!

  • Andy Campbell

I won’t be able to make it but thanks for the invite.

Will there ever be one in Milwaukee?

    • Anonymous

We’re having one in the Milwaukee suburb of Chicago. Drop by!

Gotta be honest: Milwaukee’s not a likely site in the near future.

  • Kelly Scaletta

I am certainly planning on coming. Hope more of the Bulls Writers can attend.

Is Toronto on the list of future locations? I’d love to attend.

    • Anonymous

As I’ve said to others who’ve asked about specific cities: There is no set schedule. Any big city that has a lot of sports teams, and therefore probably a lot of B/R writers, is going to be on the list of candidates. I can’t say exactly how high Toronto is on that list, but it seems like a reasonable candidate to me.

Fair enough, thanks for letting me know.
